Partners

The project was carried out by a partnership of 5 partners from 4 European countries (Denmark, Germany, Italy and Cyprus).

The partners were all carefully selected according to their competences with pedagogical development, digital media use, facilitation of learning communities within preschools – both formal and informal, and their experience with entrepreneurship teaching.

Locally, in each of the partner countries, a partnership of preschools have been set up based on partner networks and open calls. The preschools represented different aspects in terms of inclusion and diversity. Some had a high number of refugee and migrant children, some had disabled children, and there was a range of socio-economic backgrounds.

Local stakeholders were involved throughout the project to inspire, think outside the box and provide expertise to the development activities in the project.

The research group Digital Media in education (DIMEB):

The research group Digital Media in education is concerned on the one hand with educational applications in computer science and media informatics, and on the other hand with digital media and media education within the context of pedagogical didactics. The group is embedded in the field of computer science and media informatics and is focused on primary education in digital media for trainee teachers. It thus presents an opportunity to develop a specific profile, “digital media in education”, and to create a bridge between technology culture and pedagogy, hence developing a transdisciplinary orientation. The group is led by Prof. Dr. Heidi Schelhowe.
